The Deutschheim State Historic Site offers visitors a glimpse of what life was like for German immigrants during the mid 19th century. The buildings on the site were built in the 1840s and 1850s, and are full of tools and artifacts that were used more than a century ago.
During a guided tour of the site you’ll see some of the oldest surviving buildings in Hermann, as well as authentic furnishings and one of Hermann’s original vineyards.

Experience what life was like for farmers in the 1800s by taking a tour of the Hermann Farm. You can take a two hour tour of the farm in a covered tram, learning about the farm’s history and some of Hermann’s most notable founders. Horse and carriage rides are also available for an additional fee.
